This is a growing problem with some people over populating their space with animals. First one, then another and before they know it they have two, three dozen animals and more. The problem with this type of behavior is the dangers and a health hazard that accompanies this type of self gratification.
I see a trend of news stories where concerned citizens beckon the SPCA for rescue dogs and cats from this criminal activity. What happens that changes this heart felt charity into a crime of animal abuse? It would be wonderful if anyone who has compassion for stray; animals are able to give them the proper care. Unfortunately, more often than not these people do not have the knowledge or foresight to get the proper licensing to undertake such a project.
Angel’s Watch is brainstorming to develop a program that would offer information to potential hoarders. We are looking to work with the ASPCA and the Humane Society to create a program that will allow people who want to rescue animals but, do not have the proper credentials to donate the monies and time that they would normally use to care for the animals in their home to a no-kill shelter.
I wanted to know more about the disease and how to identify the stages of this sickness. What motivates someone to overlook all sense of reality to begin such behaviors? If you want to read some of the articles I’ve located on the subject. . Please take a moment to visit the links listed below…. Remember we all can do our part in protecting our friends.
